"I really enjoy swimming for both its physical and mental health benefits. It also is a way to clear my head at the end of the day and get in a rhythm."

Alannah

Honestly such a great cause. Stoked we stumbled across it. It was great for us too, to be honest. It united the team nicely and got us working toward a common goal. Lots of swim sessions and lots of chatter about the cause etc during shifts.

Looking forward to getting that number one spot next year! ha ha

Arlie Beach Life Guards

"I’m looking forward to trying to achieve a greater lap amount and to continue to help raise awareness of youth mental health and suicide prevention."

Can you swim 1000 laps?

1000 Laps ÷ 28 days = 35.7 laps a day.

In a 25m pool this is 25kms!

This year we're kicking off the inaugural 1000 Club.

This exclusive challenge celebrates dedicated swimmers who go the extra mile for youth mental health swimming over 1000 laps and raising over $1000.

Club members will receive exclusive perks such as a limited edition swim cap and a place on our LAP it UP honour board.

To join the 1000 Club - sign up as a team and together smash those laps, or think you can do it alone? Become one of the few and raise $1000 while swimming 1000 laps this October

About our charity

Live4Life brings together rural and regional communities to improve youth mental health and wellbeing and reduce suicide.

We do this by empowering communities to implement the Live4Life model. Ground-breaking and award-winning, the Live4Life model is evidence-based and evaluated — the only youth mental health education and suicide prevention model designed specifically for rural and regional communities, where the suicide rate is 40% higher than urban areas and where 63% of young people are unable to access mental health services
